Wynn's...Built by Steve Wynn...former owner of the Bellagio....Sold the Bellagio, and said that his new hotel would make the Bellagio look like a truck stop. Have visited both, and in spite of the fact that Wynn's is very fancy (and expensive) we still think that Bellagio is nicer...
But then, that's our opinion.

Technically, Wynn is the newest Strip hotel (built from the ground up in 2005). It is a very classy and upscale resort, but it has absolutely no theming whatsoever...which was the whole point I imagine. LV has seen so many mid-range theme park casinos that Steve Wynn wanted to simply get back to basics.

Now, if you count the demise of the Aladdin, then Planet Hollywood is actually the newest hotel. The Arabian Nights theme of the Aladdin never attracted many American tourists, and since 9-11 business has gotten even worse. It recently went into bankruptcy, was bought out by Planet Hollywood, and is now undergoing a massive transformation designed to turn it to a "California" themed resort (whatever that means).

The Wynn is the newest hotel on the strip. Off the strip, the newest would be the South Coast.
