The film is about a gentleman who had to take some money to a bank he worked for. He travelled by train and was mugged and robbed of all the money. Rather than return to his family he worked in parks picking up rubbish. Some years later at Christmas he decided to go home. When he got there on Christmas Eve he looked into his living room window and saw his wife and daughters having a merry time. He went up to knock the door and turned away. His wife opened the front door with the daughters and said that it was only an old tramp outside. He never did tell them who he was and just went on his way. I have seen this film only twice and that was a very long time ago. The name of the film escapes my mind. I would be very grateful if somebody could help me with this. Thanks.
