its never about age. its about when you are ready to financially, emotionally and mentally take care of a child. I seelots of 20 something year olds that can not take care of a child... and its sad. have ever been to a wal mart on a saturday. Its disgusting...

The only thing I ever say is to be financially/emotionally ready for a baby. Doesn't always matter how old you are as long as you can handle the responsibility. I know I was okay with my first child at 21 years old, but I also know people that had their first at 40 (and some of them are more active then me!!!)

I believe around 30 years old is good, because you have had enough time to grow up, and have a job, and have a place to live, and get organized enough to save up some money, and plan on the pregnancy, so to be prepared for now raising the child, cause it will now take you 18 years of providing...
So planning is good and so is waiting...

I had my first one at 21 and my second at 26. I wish I'd waited a little longer on the first one because it took me longer to finish school after I had him. But I am glad I had them relatively young, it allows me to be fun mommy. I play in the dirt with them and climb the monkey bars at the park. They think I'm pretty cool. Man I love them!

28 IS perfect for you. But what most young couples do not seem to understand is; You should have your own home first; because when that little bundle of JOY arrives and they are still renting they'll NEVER get a home of their own.
