Lets pray that these libs don't get back in power. They are not living in reality. They defend our enemies and attack us. As Mike Savage says "Liberalism is a mental disorder".

Germany economy stalled from economic rebuilding still going on in Former East Germany. Also, Germany needs to make it labor market flexible so they can fire crappy workers. Even, Sweden will fire you for being a crap workers. Therefore, German Brand of Socialism is crap as is the French Brand. The only one to know its implications is Scandinavian countries and Anglo countries there more flexible to adjust it to market conditions. The Anglo countries system has advantages more opportunity to make a lot more money, downside the safety net is weaker is the trade-off. Also, the Scandinavian market system creates more jobs than the German and French, but it taxes high income earners next oblivion, but you gain a safety net.

What about corporate socialism, what about tax breaks for the top 10% that have raised their wealth by 400% over the last 20 years? Are you a FASCIST or what? Why would I want to move to Germany when I can just vote Rep. Nut Jobs in and experience Nazi Germany here?
Your certainly not living in the America that I know and love. I'm sorry W's not working out as the second coming of Hitler for you, but hey---I think the Armed Forces have a job for ya!! Go for it!!

You raise an interesting point. It is in vogue to speak in capitalistic terms in the present political climate, that is for sure. Keep in mind, however, that with the triumph of capitalism has come one of the darkest ages in humanity's history. Without regulation and some care for ourselves (the root of humanisim, and I argue, socialism), industrialism and the free market run amok--look at what China right now is doing to its people in the name of progress. Instead of flipping off what is not readily understood, take a good hard look at the nations that are easily written off by Americans for whatever reason. Some of these nations predate our own by centuries of existence and struggle, just like we do as well, for the realization of a just society. A just society, in this day, requires a continuously fresh look at what it means to have a global, yet regional and even local, identity. We are one people--the sooner we regard ourselves with compassion and justice, the sooner we'll be along in our collective, world-embracing, coming of age.

Actually you conservatives might prefer Germany given your uncanny similarity to the party ruling Berlin in the 1930s.

Sounds reasonable to me. Liberals get what they want and the rest of us get peace and quiet.
