Deep Purple Rocks. To this day, they can out-jam the best of them .However, I really wish they had more than one original member left. But still, they have always been loaded with tallent. If you like them, you should check Out Ritchie Blackmore's new band... Blackmore's Night. Its like Folk-Metal-Classical. Its totally new!

Um I have heard of them, however they were way bfore my time. They only had one hit called Smoke On The Water. Other than that no they are not awesome, they have put their own mark in history though

To me it is one of them, Highway Star is one of my favorite tunes and Ian Gillan had one of the best two voices in rock ( Robert Plant is the other one)

no.....but they do have some cool tunes. its hard to pick one band as best........cuase there were so many great songs and bands that came out of the same era. jimi and a band of gypsy's. janice.........black sabbath......rolling stones.......could go on and on
