Hi >
I love tinkering with petrol mowers, although it is not my "trade".
A :Unscrew the spark-plug, give it a good rub with a wire brush, and shove the gap to about 2-3 millimetres.
B: Make sure that there is no nasty gunge in the little fuel tank.
If it is a bit empty, top it right up with petrol, and give the whole apparatus a good shake.
C: Give the thing a good pull. If it fails to start, then it may well be a case of grassy bits down the air intake. Take off & hoover.
D: The carb. that thing on the side. It needs to be taken off, dsimantled, cleaned, and bunged back on.
E: Which should not be the case - It is basically otherwise knackered & probably not worth fixing.. New one, Hey Ho.

F: Cheers from Bob the lawnmower on Bob the Boat.
A lawnmower on the roof of a boat ? But of course.
Essential item on canals. Maybe.....

is the petrol old as unleaded only lasts 3 months second have you tipped the mower on it's side if you have and the filter was facing down oil may have gone on it so take off clean with soapy water lightly oil and replace. you could try useing red X in the tank to clear petrol pipes.

check these things first, air filter, spark plug and make sure you put the rite fuel in, don't use old fuel as it can go off.
If that doesn't work check the choke isn't stuck on or the exhaust isn't clogged. cutting grass this time of year is hard going because it's always wet make sure your not asking the mower to cut more than it can handle, lift the cutter up a tad it mite help.

save the blade sharp and you may mulch the grass properly sufficient to bypass away in place.Lawns fed clippings prefer much less fertilizer, if any. If it desires catcher to run, that linkage may be disabled or bumped off.
