or stop and find the owner?

at the very least leave a note, but if you know the owner must be in a certain business, it's nice to try and find them. Now hitting a door with your car door... hell everybody leaves that.

I know how you feel, this has happened to me several times over the years, only that I never witnessed anything of it. So my car has some more dents now. If you did not get any license plate info you might want to see if she returns to that park with her vehicle. The you could take down her vehicle and plate info. Then, depending on how you feel about it you might politely but firmly approach her and say you saw her hit your vehicle the other day but when you made it to your car somehow could not find a note that you hoped she would have left behind... That would give her a chance to make up without a hostile confrontation. If this does not work, then I would call police and have them do their investigation. If you can't find her, or the investigation goes nowhere then don't feel so bad about it, you have company in regards to dents by hit-and-runs. I have a big dent in my passenger front fender and another one in the front edge of my hood, both of which I don't even know where they came from, saw them only later at home. These join a dent I admit I put in my rear bumper when backing into an invisibly short post, and one in the rear passenger door... C'est la Vie.

The right thing to do is try to find the owner, or at least place a note on the windshield. A long time ago I was drunk, hit a car while I was racing a guy, I did take off. Was not the right thing to do.

Depends how nice the car is... if its really expensive I'd drive away cuz they can afford to fix a scratch more than I can!

I've never hit a parked car tho so I can only say what I think I'd do but who knows in the heat of the moment.

Put a note on the window with your phone number and the name of your insurance agent and apologize for the accident and having to leave. Most people will respect your honesty and work with you. If, however, dishonesty doesn't bother you, hight-tail it. You aren't the first jerk in the world to destroy someone's property and not assume responsibility for it. There are hundreds of world government administrations (such as Israel and the United States) which have you beat by a country mile, if that's any consolation.

Run.... no way. I'm man enough to stand up for my wrongs and will accept the punishment that goes with the mistake or error I make. Honesty is the best policy. It's too bad that parents these days haven't taught their kids that and this would be a better world to live in.

Nah.

If the owner/driver wasn't about and I had to make tracks I'd leave my details and contact points so I could square it with them when they get in touch.

If time wasn't an issue I'd wait a while to see if they turned up.

I would stop and find the owner but probably would call the police first and report it.
