They get on the wire because the sun provide them heat. Usually the time around sunset is pretty hot. They don't sit in trees at this time because the leaves and branchs block the sun and cool them off instead of kepping them warm.

cause they resemble tree branches? birds are in their flock, flying south and they're resting at night because they're daytime creatures.

becuase they want to stand there stare at you, poop on your cars and scare the crap out of you when they all start to fly around
