Honesty is not the best policy - that's why there are things called little white lies. Total honesty can be hurtful to people, but can also be the catalyst for communication. It totally depends on the circumstances. But just like the movie "Liar, Liar" total honesty, all of the time doesn't work.
That being said - I try to be honest with my children and husband always.

Yes it is the best thing to do. Like once I didn't won't to tell a friend she didn't look so good in a dress. She wore it for a long time. I didn't won't to hurt her feelings. So after that I never lied again.....

the turth always come out, I was 7, I have cookies cumbs on my face, my ask me I did eat an cookie, I say no. she send me look at my face, then sen me my room.
