Every time somebody tries to come up with a decent satire about Clueless George and the bush-league, they do something that outstrips the most bizarre imagination. And of course the deadheads that are loudest on this site, being functionally illiterate, take a lot of the fun out of it by being so very predictable.
So, is Bush too much of a flaming idiot to satirize? Is it just a waste of time?

Wonder if the puppet comments will come in threes or fours today.

I'd avoid predictable humor, and its a little difficult to hunt down something that hasn't been done a million times.
Comparing him to a chimpanzee, for instance.

Jon Stewart and others have proven that there is still humor in Satire, despite its seeming redundancy.

My initial thought was that you were asking if it is wrong in a time of war to satirize the leader thusly showing disrespect, division, and weakness in a time that needs strength and solidarity but I see, after reading the rest of what you wrote, that this was not your question at all. Even though it wasn't your question, I will answer it because it relates to your actual questions.

No... It is not wrong to satirize Bush. Satire is a healthy and amusing form of dissent and dissent is a state of normal in the United States as well as one of the notions this nations was founded on (regardless of your views on Jeffersonian theory, it still stands). I would be more inclined to say that the art of satire is a lost and that most people either don't get it (like those who are offended by "A Modest Proposal") or don't understand how to execute it properly (those who just call people names).

So what I think you are actually asking is: Is there a POINT to satirizing bush when he is such an absurd and ludicrous entity that is almost a mockery and caricature of himself?

I say - Why not, just because he does stuff that is more outlandish or dare I say more funny than what I can come up with doesn't mean that the satire should stop. Satire is one of the few places that outright propaganda can be combated and where truth of situation can rise to the top.

Mockery and satire of our leadership has a rich history dating back to our forefathers (and further depending on your ethnicity) and is an important aspect of our culture, especially when the administration is failing so absolutely and the recourse of the public is so little.

First Bush could care less what anyone thinks says or does. He got what he went to washington for and he could care less about the rest of the country. Just look at the Chocolate city...

He sent our military over to Iraq for his oil, and said screw the country.

You have expressed your delusional thinking quite well. Fear within the Liberal-Type Personality, or LTP, is often vented in what the LTP characterizes as "satire", or "humor", and when called on it, screams about free speech. Fully ignoring common sense and respect for the Presidency that insures the safety of us all.

When ones fear is such that ones comments diminish the status of the American President, the enemies of America use such "satire" as evidence that their hatred of America is valid and justified. The unfortunate fact is that terrorists are not reasonable nor rational individuals. They are, paradoxically, much like the LTP in that they operate from a delusional state of reasoning driven by a deeply repressed fear within their MIND realms.

The deeply repressed fear within the personality capable of engaging in terrorism is the same fear as that repressed within the LTP. This is a fear of ones core energy, due to a misperception by ones MIND taken-on at and near birth. The nature and intensity of this fear determines the level of the delusional activity engaged in [in order to "vent" the energy generated by the actively repressed fears] which is vented in projected activity by the LTP. It ranges from endangering the nation through grossly dishonest statements by highly visible LTP politicians that give aide and comfort to the enemies of the nation, to actions taken by historical LTP like Hitler, Stalin, and Mao... under whom millions had their lives snuffed out.

What is "fun" for the LTP often presents a danger for others, but the LTP cannot "see" this because the "need" the LTP has to vent his/her hate takes presidence over reason and common sense.

The LTP tends to "think" of him/herself as being superior to others, and uses unkind remarks of othes as an alternate means of venting his/her hate. The fear that drives the LTP is of such intense negativity that the MIND of the LTP is normally fully engaged in Scotoma, or a blocking of a person's ability to "see" and "hear" what one is saying and doing as part of his/her projection of converted fear into hate projected upon others.

In the case of President Bush, his mild manner [and resolute nature, which the LTP finds frightening since the LTP fears personal responsibility in all its forms] makes him an ideal target for LTP projected hatred. That you speak of the American President in such disrespectful terms tells us quite a lot about you, but perhaps you did not realize this or were unable to see this?
