I'm not working at this time. I retired w/o benefits from my last job. How much will individual health insurance cost a 60 yr old man in good health who doesn't smoke nor drink w/ excellent credit rating. I have very little money saved up. What can I afford?

Call your local senior services department and they can tell you about options since you may be too young to retire unless you are willing to give up a part of your benefits. Good luck.

Hi,

Here in New England, Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance is very popular, affordable, and everybody that I've talked to likes it.

You should also check into AARP offerings. You can see what they have to offer at http://www.aarp.com You may have to join AARP to get their member rates but it is worth it. AARP saved me a bunch of money on my auto, and home insurance.

I am retired also, but I retired with full benefits so I carry my health insurance through my old employer.

Check out the two suggestions I offered.

Hope this helps.
