African decended babies are born lighter just the same as all races, they have never been exposed to the sun yet. Children who can tan are born very white, and the amount of melanin in their skin determines how dark they can become when they're exposed to sunlight. Babies of African descent have more melanin, so with sun exposure they get darker than most other races. Some Mexican Indians get darker than African Americans in the summer. I have a friend who turns almost coal black in the summer although his ethnicity is Mexican Indian. All races of people get tan lines, too!!

Being a 36 year old lady and having long given up my dream of getting a fairer skin tone. Aside from my age, I am of African-American lineage and have dark spots on my eyebrows and cheeks. They were the cause of years of embarrassment because people constantly looked and stared at them! I have tried make-ups to cover them up but they hardly worked.

When I came across this product and read the testimonials, I immediately made my purchase and tried your different approach. A few days later, I am seeing that my skin is already getting whiter which brought a new level of confidence in my personality..

that's a good question. it's not just black babies, though. my kids are biracial, and they were both fairly light when they were first born. especially my youngest. but as they get older, they are getting darker. my oldest is way darker than my youngest, though. hey, that might be a question i can put on here :-). any way, i know this didn't help, but hopefully someone will help you.
