I'm just curious about this... I have done some research online and I have read that some women NEVER got a positive urine test during there whole pregnancy...Or if they did it was after they were many months along... I was just curious if anyone has heard of this or knows anyone who had this happen... Thanks bunches...

With all three of my pregnancies I KNEW!!! I was sick the next morning & I never took a pregnancy test, but yes I have heard of this type of thing. A lady I knew years ago didn't know she was pregnant until she was in the emergency room & in labor. She was an extremely large woman & she took like 4 pregnancy tests that ALL showed negative results. After having had three of my own, I have to wonder about these women who claim they DIDN'T KNOW!!!, but with this large woman I could see it. I just don't understand who there could not be enough hormone changes to give a positive result, but it has happened. WEIRD HUH???

I've never heard of that or known anyone that it's happened to. My understand of the hormone hcg (which is detected in the urine) is that one the egg implants it starts to be produced. Then about every other day it doubles. It usually takes until you've missed a period for a positive to show up on the home preg test. Then after about 12-14 weeks the hormone levels off. A friend of mine didn't get a postive home preg test till she was in her second month but she still got one. Some people may have their dates off or have other problems. If you're not producing the hormone then perhaps it's a tumor?? or you're doing the test wrong or getting bad tests or something?? Cuz I've never heard of that before.

My mom never tested positive in any of her pregnancies. She could take one when she was due to give birth & it still said negative. Don't know what's up w/ that. I just thought it was weird. LOL.
