does anyone know the formula for finding the formula for the area of the nth polygon.?

i need some help with this coursework im doing. i found out the areas for a circle, rectangles triangles hetagon hexagons and i dont want to go on forever so i would like to find out a formula that relates the formula of a polygon to the # of sides it has

For a regular polygon of n sides
A = (n/4)cot[(π*s^2)/n]. s = length of sides
