I bought some decorative towels for my bathroom. I specifically told my husband that they were for looks only. He used them anyways. When I confronted him said that there were no clean towels. I want to divorce him for this. Can i?

Wow, you need to take a chill pill. If this is the only reason you have for divorcing him, then you really are shallow. Yes he should respect your request, but come on the towels can be washed. Throughout any marriage mistakes are made (daily) and most men are block heads when it comes to things like decorative towels. Are you sure you really love this guy, because using these towels is no reason for divorce.

It doesnt sound like this over the towels it sounds like this is over something else and you just want a reason to get out of the relationship. So go do some soul search and find out what is wrong work on it if you want to if not the it is your decision to break up. But you should give him the shadow of the doubt. It is really not about the towels It is about you wanting out and that is your reason God Luck and best wihses

You really need to grow up. Towels? My goodness, if this is a major problem with you, then you better look for a man who is just like you. Marriage is so much more than that and if you are that superficial, then yes you should leave him so he can meet a better woman. Thank you.

i think that you need to seriously look at your relationship adn think about this for yourself adn with your close friends. divorce isnt somethign you should be asking a bunch of strangers about. if this is the only thing your husband has done or if this i sone of many lil things i think you should just toughen up casue divorce isnt b/c he used the decorative towels. divorce is for couples who have had problems for quite a while adn arent in love anymor. i think you should go out to lunch with a couple of close freinds or just take a drive alone somewhere to think about this for a while. ask yourself am i unhappy in this relationship? or an i just annoyed at his lil quirks? do i love him?do i not? has he done anythign that i cant forgive him about? has he done somethign so sweet that i never wanted to let him go?

If he was using the towels to "clean up" after having sex with your best friend then YES you can divorce him.

Seems kind of petty but if you really want to divorce him you can. But I would wait for a more legitimate reason. Obviously there are deeper issues then hand towels in your relationship.

Why were you married in the first place, if dirtying a towel is grounds for divorce? Save yourself the time/money in the future and just shack up...

You should. You don't sound mature enough to handle a marriage, sorry. Actually, try counseling first. And why would you buy decorative towels? They serve no purpose!! Someone's gonna use them, no matter how much you don't want them to.

I'm going to say this as diplomatically as possible: just make sure there's clean d@mn towels around!!

We women have to bend a lot more in marriage than men do.

That's just plain retarded. If you're that easily offended, get the man a hand towel that's specifically his. His to wash, get greasy, whatever.

If you think that's divorce-worthy, then you seriously need counseling, and I'm not talking the marriage kind.
