If you are currently involved with someone and you happen to stumble on his personal profile, online, looking for that special person, would that be considered cheating?

It depends on when he made that profile. If it was before you two got involved, then it might just be there without being used. If he made it after, or still use it, i would call it cheating.

I don't see how that is different between yahoo answers and true.com they are both a social past time. He could say the same about you on yahoo answers. Its not cheating to have it up..its cheating when the sex line is drawn. If you are both online looking for companionship in whatever form then you are not soul mates. You can date and enjoy each other as long as it is understood by both that it is an open relationship and no strings are attached.

Sounds to me like both of you may have the potential to cheat. Him, for having a personal profile, if active. You, for stumbling upon it. Why would you be on a site like that if you are currently involved with someone? Time to evaluate your feelings as well? Good Luck!

Well, technically he is not cheating...yet. That only proves that he is looking. First thing you need to do is leave him. You do not want a man who is just keeping you until something else better comes along. The fact that he has his profile on that site is that he is looking for someone. If he hasn't cheated already, he will. Move on and GOD bless.

Is there any doubt in your mind. The first thing he should have done is removed any profiles on dating sites when you became involved. No excuses that the info is old he knew that he had the profiles out there. In my view it would be considered see ya!

Are you sure it is his profile? Why were you on this site? Seems like neither one of you are satisfied with each other. Reevaluate your relationshsip if this is the case. Don't jump to conclusions until you know for sure that it is him. Just ask him if that is his profile. Communicication is key in any relatiohship.
Hope this helps.

No. Until and unless the two of you agree to not see anyone else, each of you are free to see anyone you choose.

Life is too short to be all hung up on just seeing "each other" unless someone has a ring and a wedding date scheduled.

If hes still using it yes. To me, a drunken one night stand that he considers to be a huge mistake would be forgiveable by me. We all have our weaknesses. But if he is involved emotionally with another woman, and its an on-going thing, and hes still seeing you, then I think that is far worse. Because then hes knowing hes hurting you, and keeps doing it, and keeps lying. Just talk to him about it. It may be from before you got together.

Um... it's certainly worth bringing up in conversation. Maybe it's an old listing? Maybe he's looking for some cyber lovin' - either way, you deserve to know what's up if you're dating him. It's not cheating unless an action has been taken.

Not unless he acts upon an inquiry. I would take heart to what he is looking for and see if you fit the profile. If you don't, move on.
