I was walking with my friends downtown and any little girls run away when ever any men just walk beside them. Are parents to blame for this because I think their teaching that men can only be kidnappers. Anyone can be a kidnapper.

girl's aren't afraid of all men. it's just about how you behave and seriously your intentions. it's a lot about what you communicate verbally and non verbally. and well there is the case of what the society has stereo typed men as-- 'bad men'! and thats actually because of all the weird cases which keep coming up in the papers n tv, etc. plus men being the srtonger of the sexes, you never know when they are going to loose it or do what?! they are quite impulsive people! and then again, they aren't really making the city a safer place to live in. many of them act quite strange and creepy! thats just what scares women..
parents are no doubt worried. but you can't blame them entirely. a man knows how a man thinks. he wants his daughter safe after all! there are a lot of factors which all go hand in hand for a given behaviour. nodoubt what we are teaching them is all resultling in an insecure environment for girls and lack of trust in men when it comes to them-- which is like a chain reaction in the long run, if you get the drift.

Men are typically kidnappers, and certainly the most dangerous ones. I hope my daughters are afraid of strange men, otherwise I didn't do a very good job of parenting my kids.
They can be less afraid when they are adults and have had extensive self defense training.
That way if you try to mess with them, they can seriously kick your ***.

Small children are usually one of two things either very shy around strangers or never met a stranger. I know plenty of children who are shy around all adults or most adults regardless of gender. Women can be a danger too, so let's watch the stereotyping everyone. I would say with men a lot of times it comes down to them having deeper voices or small children not being around men as often.
