I am a male teacher, and believe me, there are a lot of teachers here who are just beautiful. That's just a dumb stereotype.

I really don't think she was cutting down teachers looks or anything. I think she meant it toward herself. Like if she wasn't so beautiful, she would be a teacher since she couldn't be a model. Kinda like being a teacher is next on her list of dream jobs.

I don't think she said it in an attempt to paint teachers as ugly, rather as pointing out what a worthwhile and fulfilling profession teaching can be.
