I have some sennheiser px200 headphones- they're great. But they do block out the sound so if you're safety minded like the last answer you might not like that. I use mine all the time with my 'expensive' i-pod- never had a problem in Paris. I wouldn't like to live where the other guy lives who's scared to take out expensive toys! I carry mine on a long strapped little bag ( like for a mobile phone) it works great for me!

Dont use your ipod.
I have found out from my experience the best thing to do is put an old stereo system in a wheelbarrow and run around with it.
Not only do you get better sound and get fitter but the potential muggers are no longer a problem!

The ones that will tell you that you are about to be mugged! Bit silly going running with such an expensive toy. Do you know how many fixes an iPod can buy?

Hi, Im not sure if you're male or female. This answer only really works if you're female ... unless you're a cross dresser or a transexual I suppose.
Tuck the eyepod into your bra & use in-ear earphones.
Solves the mugger problem too for if you have long hair no one will see the wires ... unless, I suppose if the mugger also fancied a quick grope ... oh no, doesn't bear thinking about!!

try some Sennheiser CX 300 in ear headphones excellent sound and very comfortable get them from Amazon for £20, watch who you buy them off as there are lots of fakes about on ebay and other sellers on Amazon.
