Reagan and Bush Sr. gave anmesty to illegals.
Foley proved pedophilia exists in the Republican party.
Congress was mostly behind the war in Iraq...Democrats and Republicans both.
Less funding maybe, but they can at least budget how much money they have to put towards military funding.
I can't think of a politician against affirmative action or political correctness because they would be labeled a racist. It would hurt their voter appeal...republican or democrat.
More censorship? I've known several people that have been suspected by government agents for speaking out against Bush, and that's under a Republican government. We have less free speech now than we did under Clinton.

I would keep going, but I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears. Republicans are no better than Democrats. We need to flush the whole system and start over with people that have the country's population in mind as opposed to their own agenda.

Why Vote Democratic?

The Democratic Party is the party that fights for working families, not special interests. Throughout its history, the Democratic Party has been a leader in advancing the goals of this nation.

Examples of this are:

* Social Security and Medicare
* Family & Medical Leave
* Federal Aid for Education
* The New Deal
* Women's Suffrage
* Minimum Wage Acts
* Eight Hour Work Days
* The Voting Rights Act
* The Civil Rights Act
* Landing a Man on the Moon
* Environmental Protection

With the exception of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt, every single progressive piece of legislation enacted into law has been a result of the Democratic Party. This means that the more Democrats we elect to local, state and national level office, the greater the chance of moving this nation forward.

As we prepare to move into the next millenium we must have progressive leaders that will fight for working families. This is the core of what the Democratic Party & Democratic candidates represent. This is why you should vote Democratic!

Rush didn't complain when the ACLU helped him! And what is the deal with you republicans and hating the ACLU, when it's only purpose (good or bad) is defending the bill of rights?
Also I've noticed this 'amnesty for illegals' what is this? And what is the Republican answer to the 12 million illegals? Seems to me republicans and 'BIG BUSINESS' want them here for cheap labor, (now that is amnesty!).
I'm going to stop answering this question because it's just not worth it.

The president is eventually going to have to raise taxes to pay for the debt that Bush has run up. It will not matter who the president is, democrat or republican.
Didn't Bush try to push a plan for amnesty for illegals?
I don't think any republican has the right to talk about pedophiles being strictly a democratic thing. Does the name Foley ring a bell.
Please name one Democrat who has called for the US to surrender to all enemies. You can't because there are none.
Less funding for the military or less funding for companies like Halliburton who rip off our government under guise of government contracts.
Wasn't it Clinton who signed the latest welfare reform act that had a lot of people come off the welfare rolls.
The IRS is a fact of life for every administration until Congress gets off it's a$$ and reforms taxes.
And the republicans have done exactly what about affirmative action? They have been in charge of the Congress for the past 12 years and the White House for the last six.
Political correctness, I agree is worthless. However what makes you think the democrats have cornered the market on this?
Bigger government, every president who has gone into office has increased the size of the government, this also is not just a democratic problem.
More censorship, by the democrats? Hasn't Bush censored us enough?
How exactly are the rich being punished? By being made to pay their share of taxes? Nope Bush lowered their taxes.
Dumbing down of government schools, gee didn't Bush pass the NCLB law which forced teachers to teach to a test instead of teaching a subject?
Sharia Law, please tell me where this is used in the US. Once again, you can't because it's not.
Rich people leaving due to taxes, see above, Bush CUT THEIR TAXES.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Foley, DeLay, Nye, Hastert, GW Bush
Traitors: Legal Definition of Traitor: trai·tor (trtr) Pronunciation Key n. One who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason. Legal Definition of Treason: http://dictionary.law.com/default2.asp?typed=treason&type=1 treason n. the crime of betraying one's country, defined in Article III, section 3 of the U.S. Constitution: "Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort." Treason requires overt acts and includes the giving of government security secrets to other countries, even if friendly, when the information could harm American security. So Carter did what that could be considered treason? See, in order to be declared a traitor, one MUST, by law, commit treason.
Single mothers? More in red states than in blue states.
More feminism: So you think women should not have the same rights as men?
More ACLU atrocities: You must mean the atrocities when the ACLU tells the government that they can't trample over the rights of an individual.
More UN: WTF, where did this come from? Please tell me where one politician, democratic or republican has extolled the expansion of the UN? Once again, you can't because there aren't any there.
UN taxation of American? This is never going to happen, this is just a conservative talk show hosts way of scaring you. Unless you consider our UN dues, which the US agreed to, to be taxes.
America having les vioce in the UN. - Well if you consider them to be useless, do we really want more of a voice.

I like you people who get your conservative talking points from Rush and Hannity. Neither they nor you can offer any proof of your statements. All you can do is offer up your inane statements, you can't offer any proof to your statements.

If you have left the country because of the political climate, Perhaps you should stay off this site. You no longer have a voice here. I should point out, you left the country under Republican rule.

Jim W, grow a sack and take it like a man. All of those are true, if you really want to argue, at least provide a list of negative things about republicans instead of posting a useless link

EDIT: notme, this may sound weird, but I like working more than 8 hours a day, in fact, if I don't work 8 hours a day, I actually feel bad. But nice way to present an argument!

EDIT2: Good work Jim W! Even though most of those are opinionated, at least they are good examples of pitfalls
