I mean, is it like a MUST?
Who here doesn't use a douche bag?
Do I even know what I am talking about?

No, douching is by far NOT a must; in fact, it's a "should not." The vagina is self-cleaning and there is no reason normally to try to flush it out. Douching can upset the ph balance in the vagina, upset the natural balance of beneficial flora and actually push bad bacteria further up into the reproductive tract. Any of these things can lead to infection.

If you have abnormal discharge that's accompanied by a foul smell and/or itching, see your doctor. You likely already have an infection and douching will not cure it. If not, then you really need only be concerned with washing your external genital area. Mild soap in the shower will do.

No, douching is not healthy for the vagina. For one, you potentially throw off the pH balance by douching with foreign substances. The vagina is meant to be a self-cleansing organism. I have known women who claim they must douche after their periods...this is wrong. Any odor that they have could possibly be from the washes they use (make sure you're not washing the vaginal area with any soaps that have dyes or perfumes in them - this upsets the pH balance, too and can cause lingering odor), or it might be from over growing, naturally occuring bacteria (in which case, might need to see a doc about infections), or some times also from over grown pubic hair. The body hair holds a lot of odor, and pubic hair, in my opinion, should be kept in check.
So, in short, no you do not need to douche if you are taking proper care of that area.

I dont think of smoking or ingesting slightly makes you a douche bag (except you get inebriated plenty, yet a drink as quickly as in awhile is distinctive) some settle for the affection they think of they deserve. some women that are quite insecure will %. a guy who treats them like trash because of the fact they sense that thats what they deserve. some are immature and dont know what theyre going after. some think of they are able to be the "game changer" and be the only to alter the guy and make it like a project for themselves, questioning they are able to alter him. and not all women are like that. There are ones who opt for somebody stable for them quicker or later. You cant single out all women and say all of them are like that. of direction women like kind finding type adult men that look stable yet that doesnt advise they wont like somebody thats worry-unfastened.

I understand they can be very drying. Strip the alkaline layer from the vagina. I don't think they are a must. Over use can lead to irritation and infection.

It's DEFINETLY NOT a must. It can cause yeast infections and other medical problems. Just clean yourself in the shower and that is good enough!

i've never used one... but I know it was or may be still is a common practice, for people whos hair is delicate, and have not yet found a good everyday shampo. And find that their hair is healthier not washing it daily. I've known people who only wash it once a week.
