I am in an organization on campus (american medical student assoc.). We want to start selling candles, but we are not sure if it is legal to buy from a reatil store and then sell at a higher price. Does anyone know the facts. I live in ohio if that helps!!!!! Thank You

The universities are pretty lenient with associations like yours. Go to the student union body.Ask for advice. You need a special permit and declare the income afterwards. There are different rules in each university. Play it safe.

If your organization is a tax-exempt charitable organization you should be able to go to Walmart or Dollar tree and buy products like candles tax-free and resell them as a fundraiser.

Why could it no longer be legal? you may sell your previous lawnmower can no longer you? or a used automobile you no longer want. as long as those products are not stolen, she ought to sell them for in spite of value she needs. in the event that they "retail" fo $a million.00 and somebody pays $a million.50, decide for it!
