I've read that HMB is good for losing fat and gaining muscle. What about Creatine?
Has anyone tried these and can testify if they work or not?

The only reliable way to lose fat is to put less into the hole at the front of your face and use those dangly bits at the bottom of your body (they're called legs) a bit more. It's cheap/free and you don't have to give your money to a shyster who promises much but deliver nothing.

You can give whey protein a go. It helps to burn fat and increases muscle mass. Read a book by David Zinczenko called The Abs Diet. I know it sounds tacky but it is packed with nutritional info and exercises that help to burn fat and increase muscle.

Sportacus,
I agree with all your previous answers; you have to eat less and exercise more, especially training on resistance machines at a Gym to help build muscle.
If you want to EAT something to help lose weight, try to use liquid food and salads to help you.
Many people find that if they have soup at the start of a meal it helps to fill them up (as do salads and vegetables) without costing many calories.
If you don't want to start a meal with soup, a large glass of cold water will fill you up in the same way.
Good luck with your "shapeshifting"
"Mac".

They're all a waste of money; ignore what people tell you about them.

They can also carry some nasty side effects too. I took One-A-Day weight smart and it nearly made me puke, not to mention that it raised my heart rate.

None work on their own.
You are only guaranteed success by using an exercise routine and eating healthily.
