I want to get into writing but have no idea where to start. How do i go about getting an article published?

For starters you can submit articles to magazines. My friend won 500 dollars for her and it was about teaching. It was very good and now she can officially say she is "published." Once you get one...the rest will follow. She started with Readers Digest...a good place for her being a teacher. They like things like that. Go towards a magazine that reflects whatever subject you are writing about
