All Green Day songs are easy..and people like them for some reason.

Foo Fighters, "Big Me" is easy.
Alternative is a big genre, you could go with the Pixies, Nirvana, Lemonheads etc. All totally different bands. If you can get away with playing Lemonheads songs, do it. They're a great band and most songs are pretty simple.

Try Bush's song Glycerin. My brother plays guitar and he started with that song. Its super easy.

my son has a band you can join
but you have to start off as a groupie...
and they mostly just hang out back stage and have sex.
ive never seen them play any songs
