the sound on my windows PC has gone. i thought it was the speakers but it also doesnt work when i plug in headphones. ive double checked the plugs and settings...is it the sound card? how can i fix this? thanks :)

Double check the plugs again. Make sure that all connections are plugged in and that the power outlet to which the speakers are plugged into works. Also double check the drivers you have for the speakers; are they up to date? are they compatible with the OS you are using now. If none of these works, it may be that your speakers have short circuited somewhere along the line and you need new speakers.

Question is the light for your speakers coming on....and if so go to control panel to sounds, speech and audio devices and try to adjust the volume there.

Turn Digital output only off. That always helps me.

you may need to download the sound driver.

I think your drivers are gone .... download the drivers and install them again .... you will get sound
