My best friend is a guy. He's had girlfriends, but I've never had a boyfriend. What will I do or how do I tell him when I go out?
My best friend has asked me out in the past, and I think he might take it hard. He will want what's best for me, but he may mother me a bit and try to protect me. How should I respond to that?

I would just tell him. If it's gonna hurt him, it's gonna hurt him. Keeping it from him or trying to downplay it will only make things worse. Talk with him about it and make sure he knows that you value his opinions and friendship.

Well I am sligthly confusedby the wording. WHat are you trying to indicate to your guy bestfriend? That you like him??? If this is the case I would just tell him seriously that you have feelings for him. The main thing to realize is that guys are not mind readers, so tell him straigt out, do not beat around the bush. Some guys get very aggitated when they can not figure out a girl's emotions or figure out what she wants. The fact that you never had a boyfriend it really not relavant, if he is a real gentleman he will not take that into consideration. Ok now to the second part of our concern, guys are very protective people, if he protects you, he is only looking out for you. Also, sometimes it can mean that he likes you. I would not take that t heart and not really do anything. At least you know he cares about you and you not getting our feelings hurt if he is protective.

Might as well tell him before you go out. If he finds out from other sources or afterwards, he'd be more hurt. Tell him about the guy you are to go out with, and ask his opinions about the guy.

If this happend to me I wouldn't be to worried until he did try that because he may not even do that, but if he does I would ask him very POLITELY to back off u need ur space and besides u can take care of ur self... but as I said POLITELY because if u do it mean like ur able to ruin ur friendship with him.
