You can't just get money. You have to contact your county's department of health (may be listed under social services). If you have no insurance and low income, you will only pay a small fee based on how much you make.

Well I don't know what state you live in, but here in Ohio if you are in poverty you can at least get the hopsital charges written off. Otherwise you will just have to incur a debt to see the specialist.

Maybe they won't see you unless you pay up front? That is definitely a problem. I would try your county family services agency and see if they have any social programs that can help you.

You are pretty much out of luck unless you can find help from social services or an organization formed for your particular illness or injury. The name of the game is money and without money or insurance it isn't likely a seecialist will see you. In this case the U.S. is the last country you want to be in.

If it is a medical emergency, why did the ER just send you home? If it is something that is not life threatening, seek help from your state/county.

check with you county Dept. of Health---they can refer you to a doctor who will meet your medical needs FREE or at a substantially reduced fee.
