EDITED TO ADD: A lot of people are saying 1 also. Please note that 1 is NOT a prime number. Do not include 1 in your homework assignment, unless you want to get marked down for it.

Prime numbers are defined as having EXACTLY two factors. So if you look at the factors of the numbers 1-10 you can figure out the prime numbers:
1 has 1 as a factor
2 factors 2 and 1
3 factors 3 and 1
4 factors 4, 2, and 1
5 factors 5 and 1
6 factors 6, 3, 2 and 1
7 factors 7 and 1
8 factors 8, 4, 2, and 1
9 factors 9, 3, and 1
10 factors 10, 5, 2, and 1

So from the factors we know that 2, 3, 5, and 7 are the primes from 1 to 10.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

These are the names of the prime numbers from One to Ten:
one, two, three, five, seven.

These are not primes because they can
be expressed as the product of numbers
other than 1 and themselves:
4 = 2 * 2
6 = 2 * 3
8 = 2 * 2 * 2
9 = 3 * 3
10 = 2 * 5

the prime numbers, which are numbers that dont have a common factors, will be 2,3,5,7,

ps 1 will not be prime because multiplying one by the same number (eg. 28) will give that same number. but any multiplication that only includes one and that same number, like 7 will be considered prime
