I'm torn between 5 different areas and would like to know the pros and cons from people actually living there. As far as weather, I like it to be pretty consistant, and somewhat warm.

1. Seattle or Portland
2. Phoenix
3. San Diego
4. Washington DC
5. Chicago

I am from Oregon. QUACK. Moved away though and now live in the middle of the states.
I lived for a number of years in Manzanita down on the coast. Beautiful area, great people, wonderful place to start fresh. That is where I will retire. And also my own little secret place to go if I ever need to get away from anyone or anything.
Good Luck wherever you choose.
God Bless!!!

I have a sister in Phoenix. If you want warm weather you should go to Arizona...I used to live in the San Fernando Valley, and it is warm there also. The only thing in Calif. is that it usually rains the whole month of February..

Chicago...ugh...freezing and WINDY!!! Nice to visit...great food...great people...and the sports teams are so loveable for some reason! (traffic sucks..but they are working on that) If you can handle HOT summers/ COLD winters then check it out.

I think Seattle and Portland will have more consistent weather....
