You may want to give tutoring to younger kids in your area a try. Busy parents will welcome a neighborhood girl to help with their kids homework, music lessons, sports, or reading. The plus side is you could offer your services during the week, leaving your weekends free, which is what you would be working at a fast food place. The minus side would be getting started, and not as much money per hour, but whats left out of a McDonald's paycheck after taxes?
Helping younger kids with math or spelling or sports skills you already know would benefit not only cash wise, but personally as well. On the parents side, having a trusted neighbor in their home with their kids, instead of driving across town and taking a chance with a stranger should be worth some real dollars.

Hi, 14.
You are in a great position because of your age, seriously.
People enjoy supporting youth that are seeking employment & that are Entrepreneurs, So, decide What are your favorite things to do, hobbies, favorite things to do to Help Other People, and what You would like to do when You grow up.
Then, spend some quiet time and get a peice of paper and write the above question's Answers down on paper. Then 14, write down what You are good at? What is really easy for You to do that your friends struggle with or have a hard time to do?
Your Given at birth Talents are in these answers. This is where You will be able to Create a Job for yourself. Once You know what your natural talents are, create yourself a flyer & or Business cards and start passing them out to your friend's Parents, your adult family members, ask them to spread the word about your new business, give your information to your Teachers, Church Members. See if you can place a FREE AD in the local newspaer, there is usually an area for FREE ADS in the local paper. Let folks know that You are 14 years old & You have a Service that You are offering and the cost for that Service. To decide the cost to charge; ask Yourself how much would you pay for the Service?
Ask Yourself, How long will it take You to complete the Service & how much do the materials cost, if there are materials and how much do you honestly feel your time is worth.
Now, if your service is say cooking, add up the cost of the ingredients, your desired pay per hour or per item, plus the estimated cost of delivering, wrapping materials, this will equal your price.
Now, 14: You have to have a "HOOK", something that will keep your clients coming back to You for repeat service, so You should offer Specials, like buy 1 get 1 free, or deals like, "Today's Special", "For Couples Only", "A Family Fun Pack",
something like that.
Also to show appreciation to Your Clients, always get their information, Name, Address, Phone number, Birthdate. Then Immediately after doing Business with them send them a ThankYou card, maybe make up your own line of ThankYou cards, you're 14, get some construction paper trace the outline of a store thak you card for size purposes glue: leaves, flower petals, all sorts of flat things to create seasonal thankyou cards, also send your clients holiday greetings this lets them know that You are a Business Person who really appreciates them & their business. And You know what 14, they will appreciate You & Your Business as well.
Hope this helps, Good Luck.
Use Your Birth talents and your Skills, You will make money...

you could also start your own job like dog walking, babysitting or cleaning. I would not want to work at burger kind or any other fast food place.
