I think most people would give almost anything to actually eliminate poverty all over the world. If you had the power, you'd have to.

We've already given zillions or dollars towards the war on poverty and are getting nowhere.

Maybe it's time to pull out of that war. We can't win after 50 years of pouring money into it. (Same with the war on drugs.)

You can't eliminate poverty and suffering with money. The tyrants in charge of the poorest countries in the world take the money we give and put it in their Swiss bank accounts, letting their people starve to death.

As for sickness, the free market has created cures for most illnesses that were wiping out hundreds just a few generations ago. So that war we are winning and we don't need to throw money at it for it to work.

It is not money or time or anything else, These are just skin deep. The best thing to part with is our selfishness (free will)., our self that is important above all, this is the greatest gift we can offer to eliminate sorrow in the world.

If I could do something to eliminate poverty, war or especially sickness from the world in my life time, I would try to do whatever I could to do it. I would hope that most other people would too.

How much would you be willing to give? It takes nations to erase those kinds of things, but sadly this will NEVER happen their is too much selfishness and corruption in the world for such a thing to happen.
