I don't want him to think that I'm not attracted to him but I feel like we need to build ourselves individually and work on other aspects of our relationship.

I think you are a very intelligent young lady, and I do agree with you and the way you want to handle it. If he really does love you, he will understand this when you explain it to him...,if not he'll leave, but you will have the gratification of knowing you did right in the eyes of God and he will send you the right one who will understand.

You stand right up and tell him, you don't need someone around who controls you or tries to do your thinking, maybe if you are uncomfortable in telling your boyfriend that is a sign, do you think he won't understand or get mad, if that is the case, this guy isn't worth it, trust me, God would not put you with someone that would push you into something you don't want to do, so that means there may be someone else.
But if you can tell this boyfriend your angle and he does understand and agrees to wait, then you may have found the right guy, but don't give into hope, weigh the situation, and make the RIGHT decision, life is not all about a man being satistied for a quick gratification, that is satans work, not Gods intention, making that decision, should involve committment and Love, not promiscuity, you'll regret it later.

Honey I don't know how old u are, and altho I completely respect what u mean, I have sincere doubt your man will also. Men are designed so differently to us women (completely opposite really) ~ but if he is a genuine loving guy he will see that u are trying to make the love grow & not the lust. And if he bails, probably better now than later - right? But guys need it, they just do. But good luck darling, remember if he's a good one, he'll stay~ AND sometimes I notice women are so crazy wanting what they can't have - telling him & then he agrees "ok honey whatever makes u happy!:o]" Then this may make u want him more than u ever have.

Well if you really like this guy, I think you just should open up your heart and tell him.
If it´s your life choice, it should be told for the people you care most, including him, of course.
An honest talk is the best answer for everything.

You should be honest about your feelings and let him know how you feel. If you are best friends then to keep the relationship honest you should be honest.
