In this day and age of modern science do I still need to rotate my mattress for even wear? And if so, for how long?

YES! Just the wide flat bits though, those thin bits they call `the edges` are really hard balance on and even less easy to lie on, i tried it, but of course...... wait for it..... Kept dropping off...

Yes. Three to four times a year. Rotate it and turn it over too. Also give it a good vacuum each time to remove possible dust mites. It also helps prolong the life of the mattress because you are not always lying in the same place !

I think that it would help the wear ecen with the new tech. we have I think that just in case you still should, i rotate mine every six months and make sure when you do that you also flip the head end to the feet every other time that you rotate, I have had my matress for almost 10 years and it still feels the same as it did when I first bought it! rotate it every time you change the bed it will make the mattress last longer

Yes, because all mattresses still need it EXCEPT for the memory foam kind. That needs different care.

also - for your own safety - get a mattress cover

Just rotate it every satuarday when you come home from a drunlin night out and you wake up in a puttle of pisss. ha

Is it a spring type mattress or a sponge type?
Spring = yes
Sponge = no

Yes you need to rotate it, for even wear and you need to hoover it to remove dead skin cells, etc. sounds horrid but worth it.
