I don't think a hamster would do too well. Especially if a human has taken care of it, and given it it's home and bedding, not to mention food. I had a hamster when I was young, and I adored him. My steps kids Mom bought my step kids a gerbil and then she couldn't afford the food. It broke my heart when she told me that she set the gerbil free outside her house. I just visioned it becoming some cat's dinner. My husband sets mouse traps outside our house...and I could just see it getting caught in that....OUCH! If you don't want it any more...see if someone else might like a pet. I don't think a hamster can take care of themself...sorry.

What are you talking about? You've got to be kidding.
The kind of hamster you buy at a pet store wouldn't survive long at all. They're not equipped for that.

Not very good! They are dependent on human beings. The bigger animals would eat it right away. They have no skills on how the wild life is if it's used to being a pet.

not well at all if you raised it for a while. its used to you giving it food every day, and it's just not good to release it to da wild. those little guys are dead now if you released it a few months ago...

I dont think they would last long at all. If they were born wild then yes, but other wise no.
