I have instructions on finding a mindmap program on my university computer system. The instructions are:
from start, go into the applications window
choose assisted technology
Then 'inspiration'
I can't find the applications window! what is it and how do I find it? I know the start button but that's it!

I think they mean:
Click on the start button
Move onto 'Programs'
Find the one called 'inspiration'
Click that

Click the start button, and look for file marked applications, open it then click on assisted technology, then click on inspiration.

When you click on Start, it should open a menu
One of the choices in that menu should be Application
When you select it, it should open a second menu where you can choose Assisted Technology
Finally, there should be a menu where you can select Inspiration

They are probably talking about the "Programs" button that you see when you click on the start button.
