Fredrick Douglas was a great historical figure, he was one of the most prominent orators of his time, he was a fugitive slave yet treated as one of the prime figures of his time. ( He gave open public speeches against slavey and was still a fugitive) Published his own newspaper and predicted the civil war. Considered one of the greatest writers of his time also. Chek him out.
