From a male perspective I'd say yes they do feel like loving a man but denounce the penis. Otherwise why, in a lesbian relationship, does one woman take on the role of the 'butch' masculine figure? Another thing that's always puzzled me is the fact that lesbians use artificial strap-on dicks for penetrative sex. The more realistic the better they claim. But isn't the penis the one thing they're rebelling against?
I've probably upset the muff-munchin' brigade out there, but I think I've got a valid point.

Emotionally they can and do all the time, fathers, brothers, sons, really close friends, if she's a 5-6 on the Kinsey scale it's possible for her to feel some sexual attraction to a man, but, being a lesbian, the attraction will probably never be something on which she will act. A man who is a 1-2 would be just as likely to be attracted to a man, and just as unlikely to act upon it. The scale extremes, 0 (physically incapable of responding to same sex) and 7 (gay equivalent) are actually quite rare, around 99% of people are some degree of bi-sexual.

Lesbians are sexually attracted to women, not to men. Of course they could love a man as a friend, or a father, or a brother, but not sexually.

Define love. They can definitely love them emotionally in many forms, as friends etc... But sexually I doubt it because...well they wouldn't be lesbians if they were attracted to men, but maybe on occassion when they see a really hot guy or something they may get attracted to that one person.

Of course lesbians can love a man on an emotinal level, dont you have friends that you love it does not mean you want to sleep with them though does it, there are several people in my life male and female who i love very much but its not a sexual attraction i mean i love my dog to.

you've had some really good responses here. I love my father, my brothers, and all the men in my life. I even loved the father of my children- and still do. the problem is that i am not IN love with him, and never will be....I am sexually attracted to women. I am sure that you will agree, a womans body is beautiful

That would defeat the definition of "Lesbian" darlin'

That would make her a Bisexual...like me!

But my partner, a lesbian, does love men. She loves her Father, her Brother, her Uncle, my son, we have several male friends whom we both love dearly.

Sexually on the other hand...no...

Dosn't a gay man ever feel like loving a woman? No they're gay so why would they want the opposite sex if they like the same sex? I know loads of gay people that have close relationships with the opposite gender they just don't fancy them, love them or want to drag them to bed.
