When I first saw the trailer, I wasn't enthused for the movie. It looked like something I've seen before. I think someone said it before me. They remade Commando with John Cena in the ARnold role. There is nothing original about it. The trailer sucked. All the rave reviews can be read with a double 'entende. Checkout www.rottentomatoes.com for the tomato reading. This movie sucks and it is lucky it made anywhere near 7 million the opening weekend. I guarantee this piece of crap will not be seen in the top ten when next weekend is over.

Even if "The Marine", only made $7 million dollars, that's probably more than you'll see, in a life time. Regardless, John Cena is doing well, as far as money wise. I liked the movie and although it may not have been a hit, at the box office, this is just the beginning for John. Should John come out with another movie, i'm sure his acting skills will improve. "The Marine", was a movie, to help John, pursue his acting career, he'll get better with time.

There was quite a bit of marketing which is true yet there just seems to be something about the WWE releasing movies that just doesn't seem to come across as a positive to people outside of the wrestling fan base.
I believe it's called..... Vincent Kennedy "McMahon"!!!

Ok whether or not it made more than 7 mil...the point is that it is a wwe movie...atleast thats alot for wwe...it's not like it was a hollywood movie with a hollywood star...cuz then everybody would know about it...but it's not...it's a wwe movie."""SPORTS"""
Cena's movie(wwe movie) came in at Number 6 which is really good considering the fact that his movie was against 15 other movies...so # 6 is pretty good.

yeah...it wasnt promoted big time outside the wwe circle.
to hollywood, bollywood or any other wood there is...
not like "the Rock" who made movies that really gets a good reviews in the box office..some of his movies are a hit.
like...scorpion king 2, the rundown, Doom and others movies that he starred it or support.
he quit the wrestling though before this movies came i think...
