i would say it is possible to fall in love with the idea of someone. the real test will be when you meet them and go through the day to days stuff together. then you will know if it is real.

It is possible, yes, but "buyer beware". People are always very different when they write as when you meet them. I fell in love with someone I met online, we met in person and dated for 5 months then we got married. I thought he was THE guy for me! The day we got married he turned into a monster and I discovered that he has a bipolar disorder, he was in prison many times, involved in a lot of car accidents, is an alcoholic and a pill popper, a lier and a thief! All that he had hidden from me. So please be careful out there! You never know what you're going to get!!!! Right now I am filing for divorce. I would honestly never trust someone from the internet that fast again!

It does not happen, not for real. Maybe the people are mature enough to love the person in reality after meeting, but for the most part, these internet relationships are nothing but a Hollywood fantasy. They last about as long as Michael Jackson at a cub scout meeting.

yes it's possible but would I jump from a relationship on screen to marriage NO! People can tell the honest truth on the internet because you don't have to look someone in the face but on the other hand people can lie a lot easier to because of the same fact. It's a toss up.

I've heard it to be possible. Seen it happen a couple of times.
Yet, I'd be very careful about internet dating. It could be a very
bad experience- See it everyday on the news...

I don 't buy into it....you may love what that person seems to represent but words and real life are totally different.
