Columbia is one of the best universities in the USA. They are good in nearly everything they do. For example, their Russian Literature program, Business School and Journalism School all rank in the top ten.
Major in something that interests you. You might consider what you want to do when you graduate, and take courses that will help you. A Columbia degree will take you far.

Why does that matter? What do YOU want to be when you grow up? What is YOUR passion? It doesn't matter what kind of money you make, as long as YOU love what you are doing.
This is something you will be doing for the next 40 or so years, you had best love what you are doing.
