I don't see the racism in saying a color, black is just a skin color, as is white, the point of us being all human over rides are skin pigment, don't you think?
One human RACE, not two, or three....
Plus, I have never been called an american behind my back by a black man, they always say that white dude.
Yet if I even say the word black, I get called racist WTF!

I'm "black" and who cares if someone calls me that or not. Some people are just too sensitive. I guess it's better than being called "colored"

Yeah, the reverse racism is pretty ugly here in texas too. We have Miss Black this or that...you wanna see what happens if we try for a Miss White whatever?

That said, most black folks these days have some sense...they don't LOOK for insults. I have been called the blackest honky in town several times, by black girls...intending it as a compliment.
"Black" is not a racist comment, it's like "white" - it's the skin color which is visible and is an identifying factor. An elderly man I worked with in Des Moines once said 'Honey, everbody's colored. You're kinda pink. Hong over there in dishwashing, he's kinda yellow-beige; me, I'm black.' He was about 70 then, and one of the nicest guys I've ever known!

My neighbor is an older black lady. I am a white guy. I help her in daily activities since she has a hard time seeing. She knows she is black, and i am white just as I know it. It's a fact of life and we don't call each other racist because we recognize out racial differences. Seems if someone takes issue with you they are looking for a fight simply for the sake of a fight.

Well, yeah, that is not really fair. I do not see that calling someone " black" would make you racist. People say white all the time. Black people even call themselves black.

Now if you called them the n-word, then yeah, you'd be called a racist.

Buddy if your gettin called racist for callin them black, then they sure as hell better not call you white. I hear this kinda crap from them ****** all the time. Call me this, call me that, but you better not say THAT! Its ridiculous. I call them black, I refuse to say african american because theyre just as american as I am. Anyway, yeah, I've been called racist before. But being accussed of being racist sure as hell don't make me a racist. I just stopped hanging around idiots like that.

I have tons of black friends and thats not a problem with them. I mean if your in a crowd and your pointing to someone, you don't say the American guy, or the African American guy..You would say the white guy in the green shirt or the black guy in the green shirt. A confident black man or woman would not see it as racial in my opinion.

Probably depends on the way you said it. I'm not African American or anything, but I have been racially profiled by the cops, it sucks!! My family comes from Germany, Spain, Morocco, and Ireland.

Not that I'm aware of. I think you worded your question in a fair and proper way. I wouldn't think you racist at all.
