We joined but dropped our membership when the only lawyer PPL could refer us to was over 100 miles away and part of a "law factory" (not a private practice attorney). Turned out that, even with the PPL "discount", the lawyer's hourly rates were so high as to be unaffordable. We were very disappointed and felt that the plan had been misrepresented to us. The rep that got us to sign up was very convincing, even to the point where he offered to show us his personal bank account records (as part of trying to talk us into becoming "associates" ourselves) so we could see how well he was doing.

Normally very astute and informed consumers, we felt duped.

I would not recommend PPL to anyone as a result of our rather negative experience. The CONCEPT looks good on paper, but, in actual practice, it seems to be nothing more than another multi-level-marketing scam.

I hope to be selling it soon. From what I have read, it is legal advice/assistance for the middle class. It's obviously going to be more limited than a regular paid lawyer, but I hear good things about it.
