Restraining orders and Orders of Protection are recognized as valid and enforceable state-to-state. Your ex (or whoever it is) is breaking the law by violating the order. Look up your county's District Attorney (in the pink government pages of your phone book), call them and ask for their advice on how to proceed.

Don't ignore this. Anyone who is still hassling you after four years AND a relocation is clearly not moving on with their life. Obsessive behavior can turn dangerous. You had reason to get the restraining order in the first place. Take this person's behavior seriously. Sounds like he has no respect for authority, and is going to do what he wants, regardless. Make the call.

Probably best to be on the safe side and renew it.

The move out of state could indicate a lessening interest in you, but it is probably better to wait until he has not contacted you for a long period of time before you consider not having a restraining order.

be safe and renew it also let your attorney know that he is still trying to contact you. Your lawyer should take care of it through the court.
