If someone wanted to start a Rap Career, and had beats and music completed, but needed the equipment to perfect the skills/sound quality. How would someone approach this situation in a cost effective way? Where would one go to get produced and implemented into the rap game?

Looking for information on how to get into the rap game. CD has been made but the sound quality is nowhere near perfection. Does anyone have the inside scoop on how to obtain a interview with a production company willing to take my tallent to the next level?

Your chances are very slim. People in the music industry are constantly bombarded with people trying to get a piece of the action. If you're not guranteed to make them any money, they don't want anything to do with you. Somehow, you need to creep your way into the industry - interning at a radio station, record company or something. Your location is also an issue. If you're not in NY, CA, especially Atlanta or maybe Miami, you might not get that far. Whatever you do, you must expect and accept that you will have to start at the very bottom and slowly work your way up. Nothing will happen over night.

Also, it's a good idea to have another (realistic) career interest. Everyone wants to be a rapper, but not even 1% will make it. The entertainment industry makes it look easy and appetizing, but it really can eat you alive.

Depends on where you are located. If you're in NYC or LA then you could walk into a record company or talent agency and drop off a demo. Keep dropping it off until they get so tired of you that they listen to it.

AND..network, network, network. Get to know people. Get your songs played on local radio & college radio stations and clubs. Get your song into an indie film. Pimp yourself. Get to know people who work in or around the recording industry - at all levels.
