It depends on your voice, and if you actually want to show off your voice or just look like and idiot. If you want to actually sing, and your a belter, you could do a lot of the female stuff from rent, or Jackie Wilson, who is the "black elvis" but his music is really good. If you sing more in your head voice, or your a soprano, you could do stuff from Phantom of the Opera or The light in the Piatsa.

We would need to know more information about you to really suggest good songs. Like your vocal range/type, what style of music is sung at the location you plan to sing at, what songs do you already know or feel comfortable with......otherwise we might suggest something completely off kilter for you.
