Flammable dust particles can cause explosions due to the high surface area eg in flour mills and coal mines.

House dust is mostly the excrement of dustmites which have fed on the dead skin cells you have shed. Excess quantities of dust are also inviting for multi-legged critters.

If you don't mind being surrounded by mite excrement and multi-legged critters you don't need to dust.

Depending on the type of dust yes it will burn grain and flour dust will if ignited and cause a flash fire not unlike an explosion
