even if the odds are greatly against them the chip leader seems to win. i play on pokerstars, pacifiic and party poker and it happens too often on all sites for something not to be suspect. do they want the game over quicker to make money on the registration. i would say that the larger stack, even with the odds against them win 7 out of 10 showdowns. conspiracy or what

A better question might be to ask how the big stack became the big stack. Did he/she get lucky or is it skill? Perhaps the reason you see them win 7 out of ten showdowns is they know when to enter a pot in the first place and how to play it for maximum value. Another reason the big stack wins more often is that people can be intimated out of playing against him/her because they know he/she can force them all-in and not risk being knocked out of the game.

On-line poker is a multibillion dollar industry and any sites that didn't offer a fair game would quickly be found out and word would spread costing them thousands of players. No large site would risk this. They make their money of the rake and tournament entry fees and not on whether you win or lose.

You have a Q 9 He has a Q 10 The flop is 9 A A - so far you lead with 2 pair The turn is a Q - bad news now - he has two pair A A Q Q 10 you have A A Q Q 9 you are now behind. The 3 doesn't change anything . He wins with the 10 kicker.

Well only one person can win the game. It is always going to be the big stack, because at the end of the game he will be the only one with any chips. There for the big stack.

Kinda like when looking for something you lost, its always in the last place you look.

A big stack is a big advantage. You can play more marginal hands and bluff more often, picking up yet more pots. I do agree that sometimes, online poker can seem a little 'convenient', but you get to see so many more hands per hour versus live play that it just all happens faster.

The best thing to do is make sure you're one of the big stacks! You can read about SNG strategies here:

The big stack can afford to raise the others out of the game if needs be. They must be good to have accumulated a big stack in the first place

It isn't at all suspicious that the big stacks win more, the odds aren't strange you have just seen a small sample size.
