I am neither Republican nor Democrat so I have no axe to grind here. It just seems to me that every level of leadership is incompetent. Within the Bush administration, the Congress, state governments, local governments, corporations, the educational system, etc., it's not so much a problem of corruption (although that's there for sure), it's more a problem of plain incompetence.

There is a certain level of incompetence in every level of pretty much everything. From business to politics, national and local. From government to Burger King. There are a lot of stupid ppl out there. But the smart ones are there too, But they much be hiding <.< >.>

Humans by their nature are incompetent. I'm the most incompetent person I know, but at least I know my limitations and where to go for help , guidance and info.
Most guys won't stop to ask for directions, do you think their ego's will allow them to admit they made mistakes and try to do better? **** NO! They just drive on, getting "loster" by the mile and just continuing to do stupid things until everyone is mad. especially the kids in the back seat who gotta pee real bad.

I have to agree with you. The really smart people don't go into politics...they are in private business. All the incompetent ones are the ones going into politics.
