the score is placed between 117- and 121:117,118,120,120,120,120,121,119,120,etc. Take in consideration that the tests are not related to each other by any way. Do I have something to fear because of these scores?

Yes Hesse , you are a lot like me, I eman you tend to disect the subject under various and logical meanings. No I didn't post this question to show off. The fact is this si my first time I have taken these kind of tests. I didn't belive that I had scored so high. I don't like to praise myself but not to desconsider myself neither. I took them to be sure. More trials tend to come up with a more and precise result than just 2 or 3 tries. I also apologize if my English is bad, I am not of a nationality with English as the official language. ANd here is my dilema: could the fatc that I took these test in English might have effected the results? I eman could I have scored higher. I realise that this question tends to be a paradox, and thus I will take the test in my language also, and compare the results. The true question is : how will and if it will change my life the fact that I know with aproximation the level of my inteligence.

I do not understand your question. If you took 12 IQ tests, then I'm sure that you had a reason for taking them. That reason I'm sure wasn't that the test contained the letter Q which is such a weird and interesting letter...for some reason....So I think you are well aware of what a score of 120 means.

OK so I can only conclude that you posted this question to show off, but I have my doubts because I don't think that 120 has such a powerful effect in showing off, since it is significantly above average, but it's still just "above average". If you did this for showing off, then you might have come to the wrong place, since I think the IQ of computer users still average above the world average of 100. Not taking the above thing into consideration would prove that the tests you've taken are very faulty in estimating your intelligence.

I know many people with higher IQ's than 120 who are losers, and I don't mean "nerds" since nerds hold a very important position in our society. When I say losers, I mean that they do not provide anything valuable to the society, nor to themselves.

I believe that IQ test show intelligence, but that's just an ability. If you don't recruit that ability in a useful way, your value tends towards 0.

If you didn't post this question to show off, then my apologies.

The true reason for this answer is to show off my way of thinking which I find interesting. So, the fact that I'm showing off proves that either I have no intelligence, or that I have intelligence, and the set of people whom I know with intelligence, but useless just increased by 1.

First, I would wonder why you would take 12 IQ tests. What was the purpose and how did it benefit you? Second, I would doubt that you took a valid IQ test. I can't imagine you having to sit for 12 IQ tests....that's at least 24 hours worth of work. Third, I believe you may have taken internet IQ tests and therefore doubt the accuracy of the results. Fourth, if you did take a valid IQ test with a licensed psychologist, I would be concerned about practice effects and again, would doubt the validity of the results.

If this was 12 IQ tests over the past 20 years, your scores are pretty consistent over time and you run in the High Average range. Why should you be scared?

You cannot take a real IQ test online. They're all fake, many are scams, and they all tell everyone they're a genius. How do I know you took an online IQ test? A real IQ test (which can only be taken in person from a licensed psychologist) costs several hundred dollars to take and includes a full explanation of your score, so you wouldn't have to ask us. That's not your IQ.

the results of such tests are given as that:

Intelligence Interval Cognitive Designation
40 - 54 Severely challenged (Less than 1% of test takers)
55 - 69 Challenged (2.3% of test takers)
70 - 84 Below average
85 - 114 Average (68% of test takers)
115 - 129 Above average
130 - 144 Gifted (2.3% of test takers)
145 - 159 Genius (Less than 1% of test takers)
160 - 175 Extraordinary genius

according to that, an average of 120 means above average of test takers. nothing to fear, except some discrimination and teasing from some people.
i'm talking from experience. i just told 2 trustworthy people about my results, because i suffer too much already from being the nerd of the school. i dont want to give munnition to anyone else. and not only from bullying, sometimes if i complain about a test people start saying i can't complain because i'm intelligent.

Unless you are more than 10 pts. lower or higher. Nothing to worry about. It is proven that most compatible people have IQ's within 10 pts. of each other.

120 is above average

people of lower average IQ chose Bush. ... It claimed that the average IQ in America is 98.

A study determined the following IQs of each president as accurate to within five percentage points:

147 Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 Harry Truman (D)
122 Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
174 John F. Kennedy (D)
126 Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
155 Richard M. Nixon (R)
121 Gerald Ford (R)
175 James E. Carter (D)
105 Ronald Reagan (R)
098 George HW Bush (R)
182 William J. Clinton (D)
091 George W. Bush (R)

What's to fear with an IQ of 120. I don't remember where the breaks are, but I believe that's a bit above average. You're fine.

That they are of very slightly above average intelligence. What would you possibly have to fear from test scores?
